Show your library some love!

February is "Love Your Library" month and we're celebrating with a Winter Reading program for adults!  Swing by the library (either the building or thewebsite) in February and sign up, then record your reading throughout the month for chances to win prizes.  You can also join us on February 23rd for a Book Lovers' Social or get some new reading ideas from our displays.

Talk About Literature in Kansas

Delve deeper into literature with discussions led by professors and historians passionate about the written word. The TALK program is sponsored by the Manhattan Library Association and Kansas Humanities Council and this year's theme "Between Fences" will examine physical fences like the barbed wire that helped "tame" the American West as well as cultural fences like the boundaries of ethnicity, gender, and age. All discussions are free and all books in the series are available for check-out at the library's Information Desk. We hope to see you there!

January 31 at 7:00pm "The Wire Cutters' by Molly Moore Davis

February 28 at 7:00pm "Farewell to Manzanar" by Jeanne Wakatsuki and James D. Houston

March 28 at 7:00 pm " The Tortilla Curtain" by T.C. Boyle

A recent movie featuring a silly basketball switcheroo will show from 3:00-4:30.
