Summer Reading

JUNE 1 - JULY 31
Every June and July, the library hosts a Summer Reading program. All ages can participate, from babies to teens to grandparents. It's free to join, and readers can earn fun prizes, restaurant certificates, and free books as a reward for reading during the summer months. Last year, 2,200 children read more than one million minutes!

HOW TO PARTICIPATE:

Register online or at the library starting June 1st to keep track of your reading time.  Any reading time counts, including listening to books being read aloud to you or reading e-books. The kids' program includes babies through kids entering 6th grade this fall. (Teens and adults can register for their own age groups.)

Kids earn prizes at 250 minutes, 500 minutes and 1000 mintues. Just come in to the library during June and July to choose your prizes as you earn them.

Don't miss our Summer Reading Kick-Off party at the library on Saturday, June 1st, 10:00-12:00.  Come out with library loot, and looking and talking like a pirate. "Aaaaargh!"
